William Pierre Mayfield

HICKORY, NC - Police in Hickory are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing man. William Pierre Mayfield, 32, was reported missing by his family on Wednesday. He was last seen leaving his home on the 200 block of 1st Street SE around 11 p.m. on Saturday. Officials say he was with an unknown black male who was driving a late-model silver passenger vehicle. Mayfield, who goes by Pierre, is described as a light-skinned black male with a completely bald head. He is 5'8" tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing a long red t-shirt, dark colored jeans, red shoes and a red and black ball cap. Anyone with information on Mayfield's whereabouts is asked to call the Hickory Police Department at 828-328-5551. This is Pierre Mayfield. He has been missing for more than 2 weeks now and there has been no information leading to his whereabouts. I wish I could provide TV coverage everyday for him and his family, but I'm still not giving up. This man is just as important as ANY other missing person... His story deserves just as much attention as another. Often times social media can spread the word rapidly, and bring attention to a story.
