Missing 12-Year-Old Girl Found Safe; Reunited with Family

SAN FRANCISCO — A 12-year-old girl who went missing nearly two weeks ago, has been reunited with her family.
Imani Howell was picked up by her mother around 2 p.m. in San Francisco, according to Imani’s father, Willie Howell.
Willie says he received a tip that his daughter was on a MUNI bus at 3rd street and Evans avenue, and on her way home.
The family did not want to disclose the nature of her disappearance or where she had been.
Howell left for school on Nov. 10, but never returned home that day. She was seen a week later on International Boulevard in Oakland, an area known for sex trafficking, according to police.
Officer Albie Esparza said people had reported seeing Howell several times in San Francisco and Oakland during the time she was missing.
Oakland police spokeswoman Johnna Watson said they were concerned about the possibility that she had become a victim of sex trafficking.
Police say Imani is in good condition and is being interviewed by investigators. The case is still an ongoing investigation
